Here's how to create these delicious DIY Halloween treats, Monster Mash Cakesicles! 👻 Now that we are in full swing of spooky season, the themed desserts get cuter and spookier! This week we have planned for you guys, some Halloween themed cakesicles! These are so easy and fun to make, taste amazing plus you have full range of creativity decorating these for any occasion or holiday!
Let’s start with what you’ll need:
- Cakesicles Mold
- Popsicle Sticks
- Cake Mixture
- Marshmallows
- Melted Chocolate
How to make the cake mixture: Simply break up a cake by hand until its all crumbled, mix in buttercream or frosting and mix together until well combined and the consistency becomes dough like.
Start off by pouring the melted chocolate into the mold, covering all corners and make sure it’s evenly spread. Pop it in the freezer for 10 minutes to let it set and freeze into a mold. Once set, take it out fill the mold carefully with the cake mixture, packing it tightly, add a popsicle into the center and pour melted chocolate on top to make a backing of the cakesicles. Put these back into the freezer for another 10 minutes to make sure everything is set together.
Once your cakesicles are ready, take them out of the molds carefully, ensuring not to break or crack them. Grab your melted marshmallows, it’s time to decorate!
To make a spider web effect for these treats we will be using melted marshmallows, scoop a bit of the marshmallows in between your fingers and in start wrapping the stringy marshmallow bits around the cakesicles to create the webs.
Once you achieve your desired look, grab your favourite bottle of Twinkle sprinkles, and add them on top while the marshmallows are still sticky in texture.
And….. voila. You’re done!
